Our Assurance to You:                     Order your contacts on-line

The doctors and staff at Greenwich Opthalmology Associates want to assure you the healthiest and most visually enhancing fit for your contact lenses. Although many offices offer a "quick fix" with contact lenses, we, at Greenwich Ophthalmolgy, want to make sure your eyes maintain their maximum health while adding the convenience of a "glasses-free lifestyle"

Our goal is to ensure the proper fit of your contact lenses:

We are proud of the exceptional service that our contact lens staff delivers. The industry trends toward commercialization and "800" number access to contact lenses fail to represent the true craftsmanship that our staff displays consistently. In order to help you, our practice would like to introduce you to the policies that will be followed in delivering your care.

Fittings:

Contact lenses are "fit " on the eye(s) in the same way that a fine tailor works with material, through attention to detail.

A fitting requires:

  • Measuring the shape of the front of the eye, the cornea, with a Keratometer or, in special cases, a Corneal Topographer.Refracting the eye (s) to determine the power.
  • Selecting and adjusting the lens curvature and diameter to match the shape of the cornea.Teaching proper insertion and removal techniques.
  • Educating the patient about the cleaneng, care and disinfection of contacts.
  • In some cases, prices may vary depending upon the lens type and/or fitting difficulty
  • If you cannot be fit successfully during the three month follow-up period, you will be asked to return the lenses (all shipping charges to the office are the patient's responsibility) and any refunds will be determined by the physician.
  • Please make every effort to keep your scheduled follow-up visits.
  • Successful fittings depend upon timely follow-up and patient compliance.
  • Reordering lenses: although in some cases we may have your lenses in stock, whenever possible, please allow one week between picking up your lenses. Lenses must be paid for at the time of dispensing.
  • A complete eye health examination is required before the fitting of any contact lenses.

Contact Lens Fitting fees:

The fitting fees cover the services provided in the office and the delivery of the lenses to our facility. You will be asked to pay for any special handling or shipping charges (e.g. overnight or out-of-office) and additional warrantee fees that exceed our usual and customary fee schedule.

Prices include the fitting session (s), insertion and removal instruction, and a starter care kit. Three months unlimited follow-up care is included at no additional charge for soft daily wear and disposable lenses, respectively. The follow-up period starts when lenses are dispensed, whether it is the day of the fitting or upon arrival of the lenses from the manufacturer and will be recorded in the medical record.

We reserve the right to change our fee schedule without written notice.
